Greenville Realtor Nick Carlson named 2027 SCR secretary (scbiz.com) — Greenville Realtor Nick Carlson, co-founder of Wilson Associates Real Estate, has been installed as the 2027 secretary of South Carolina Realtors, giving the city a prominent voice in the state's largest trade association. His rise follows years of leadership with the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors and recognition as Greenville's 2025 Realtor of the Year.
   

2. SC students get free glasses featuring Carolina Panthers (wyff4.com) — A $3.4 million gift from the David and Nicole Tepper Foundation will expand Vision To Learn's free eye exams and glasses program to Greenville County, along with Cherokee and Union. After helping hundreds of Spartanburg students, the nonprofit plans to bring its mobile clinics to Greenville schools so more children can see clearly and stay on track in class.
   

3. 'Place filled with memories': Greenville County arcade announces closure (foxcarolina.com) — Pinky's Revenge, the nostalgic arcade in Greer that drew many Greenville-area families and gamers, has closed, with Sunday marked as its final day. The owner cited health concerns and a desire to spend more time with family, following an earlier closure of the original Taylors arcade bar tied to liquor liability laws.
   

4. Starbucks in Greenville County announces closure (foxcarolina.com) — A Starbucks at 5008 Old Spartanburg Road in Taylors, serving many Greenville-area commuters, has permanently closed after what the company calls a difficult decision. Staff are being supported through the transition, and customers are encouraged to visit nearby Starbucks locations as they adjust their daily coffee routines around Greenville County.
   

5. Heartbreaking New Details in the Passing of Hayden Panettiere Revealed (entertainmentnow.com) — Newly released findings from the Greenville County Medical Examiner confirm Hayden Panettiere died in a Greenville home from a drug overdose involving fentanyl and several prescription medications. The report details what was found at the scene and notes she had planned to celebrate her upcoming birthday in Greenville before traveling abroad to visit her daughter.
