Paris Mountain community gets development protections: Greenville County Council notes (greenvillejournal.com) — Greenville County Council has approved a new Mountain Creek overlay district near Paris Mountain to curb overdevelopment, reduce flooding risks, and preserve open space and historic sites. Council also voted to raise millage rates for the Canebrake and Foothills fire service areas, changes that will show up on local tax bills to support rising fire protection costs.

Frontline data breach affects schools; Greenville schools not impacted (greenvilleonline.com) — Greenville County Schools says it was not affected by a recent data breach involving the Frontline education software, though the district is monitoring the situation closely. Nearby Anderson and Greenwood districts are investigating possible impacts and working with the South Carolina Department of Education, while Greenville families can watch for updates but currently face no known exposure.
   

3. Check Out Ideas 2 Go From These 5 Retailers (convenience.org) — Downtown Greenville's new Spinx Market & Eatery, built in 2024, is being spotlighted nationally for its elevated convenience-store concept and fresh, artisanal food. Local shoppers can find grab-and-go meals, everyday essentials, souvenirs, and seasonal regional items, as the store joins four other innovative retailers featured in NACS' Ideas 2 Go video series.
   

4. Two Greenville hotels named among top 25 in the South (greenvilleonline.com) — Two Greenville boutique hotels, Hotel Hartness and the Grand Bohemian Lodge downtown above Falls Park, just earned spots among Condé Nast Traveler's top 25 hotels in the South. The recognition highlights Greenville's growing reputation as a luxury travel destination and showcases how local hospitality and design are drawing national attention alongside well-known spots in Aiken and Asheville.
   

5. 2026 Lehigh-Lafayette Telecast: Greenville, SC (lehigh.edu) — Lehigh and Lafayette alumni and fans in Greenville can gather on Saturday, November 21 for a free telecast party of the historic college football rivalry, with kickoff at 12:30 p.m. Arrive about 30 minutes early to grab a drink, settle in with local Lehigh and Lafayette supporters, and enjoy the game together; food and beverages will be available for purchase.
