• Islanders Beach Park on Hilton Head closing for nine months for major improvements (wjcl.com) — Islanders Beach Park on Hilton Head Island will close from Sept. 8, 2026, through May 31, 2027, for a $5.1 million upgrade to paths, parking, stormwater systems, and playgrounds. Residents should plan to use nearby beach parks while the town completes new accessible walkways, expanded resident parking, and an inclusive, STEM-themed playground funded by accommodations-tax revenue.
