• Irmo to hold public meetings on updating town's form of government (wistv.com) — Irmo residents will soon have a chance to learn about a proposed change to the town's form of government from Council to Council-Manager at public meetings in the Irmo Municipal Building. These informational sessions will explain what powers the town council keeps, what a professional manager would handle, and why leaders want this administrative shift before voters decide in November. 
• SC State Announces Forty Under 40 Class of 2026 (dillonnews.org) — An Irmo resident, Krystal N. Brown (Class of 2012), is among South Carolina State University's Forty Under 40 Class of 2026, highlighting local talent on a statewide stage. The list honors young alumni for leadership, innovation, and service, with recipients to be celebrated during SC State's Homecoming Week in October.
