2013 Lexington Baseball Schedule

“This will be one of the most challenging schedules I have put together, but I believe that is how you prepare your teams for the playoffs,” said Brian Hucks, who enters his second season as head coach of the Wildcats. “Our region is the toughest in South Carolina as proof by three teams advancing to the lower state championship bracket last year.” 

The Wildcats finished with a 27-4 record last season including a 10-0 mark in Region V play. Lexington won the District V title before losing to eventual state champion Ashley Ridge in the Lower State championship game. 

“We’re playing perennial powers Dorman and A.C. Flora in non-conference games, as well as, taking on three possible top five teams in Mauldin, Conway and Wando in the I.P. Classic, “ said Hucks, who enters his 14th season as a high school head coach with a 286-109 record.  "The NHSI puts together 16 teams from around the country that are all nationally ranked." 

The 4A state playoffs begin April 25.
