Bolen to Chair Gingrich's Midlands Campaign
Move comes with a mere few days left before state primary

Rich Bolen, Lexington County Republican Party Chairman, has committed to serve as Midlands Chairman for South Carolina Newt 2012.
Bolen has volunteered with many campaigns over the years including campaigns for Gov. Carroll Campbell, Rep. Floyd Spence, Pat Buchanan, Alan Keyes and others.
"I am supporting Newt Gingrich because he has proven repeatedly that he can get conservative results and navigate the unwieldy system of governing we know as congress and because his ideas are specific, directly address the problems about which we all worry and generally make great sense," Bolen said in a release.
During Bolen's time as Chairman, the Republican Party of Lexington County elected Republicans to every office in Lexington except Senate District 26 currently held by Sen. Nikki Setzler.
Additionally five out of nine statewide elected officials were elected in 2010 from Lexington County: Governor Nikki Haley, Attorney General Alan Wilson, Treasurer Curtis Loftis, Comptroller General Richard Eckstrom and Adjutant General Bob Livingston.
