Lexington at A.C. Flora Game Rescheduled; Wildcats Arrive in Cary, N.C.

Lexington takes on Florida Christian (Miami, Fla.) at 10:00 a.m. in the NHSI opener on Wednesday.

Cary, N.C. -- The Lexington at A.C. Flora high school baseball game rained out last Saturday has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 17.  First pitch is slated for 7 p.m.

The Wildcats (10-1, 4-0 Region 5-AAAA), ranked No. 1 in the lastest South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association poll, takes on Florida Christain (Miami, Fla.) in the opening game of the USA Baseball National High School Invitational (NHSI) on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the USA Baseball National Training Complex (NTC) in Cary, N.C.  The Wildcats have won eight in a row.

The Wildcats will send lefty Josh Reagan to mound in the opener.  Reagan is coming off a complete-game, two-hitter in Lexington's 9-0 win at North Augusta on Friday.  Reagan is 3-0 with a 1.65 ERA and has struck out 24 and walked just three in 17 innings of work.

The NHSI brings together 16 of the top prep teams in the country to compete against each other in what has become the premier event on the high school baseball calendar. Baseball America (BA) and The Town of Cary are partnering with USA Baseball in the hosting of the event.
