Lexington County Museum Artifact of the Week September 2-8
The artifact of the week from the Lexington County Museum's collection.

In order to publicize its collection, the Lexington County Museum will be featuring an "Artifact of the Week" once a week here on the Lexington Patch. Each week will feature a different artifact from the museum. Some of the artifacts that will be featured are on display, while others are in storage.
This week's artifact is an H block pattern quilt made by the Shealy Family of Lexington County. This quilt, on display in the John Fox House, probably dates from the late nineteenth/early twentieth century. Check back next week for another piece of Lexington's history!
