Lexington County Museum's Artifact of the Week: May 19-25

Highlighted artifact from the collections of the Lexington County Museum

This week's highlighted artifact is a badge pin/button with attached ribbon made to commemorate/advertise the 1898 Lexington County Fair, held from October 26 to October 28 of that year. The button was painted by the Whitehead and Hoag Company in Newark, New Jersey.

See this artifact and more at the Lexington County Museum, located at 231 Fox Street in downtown Lexington. Visit www.lex-co.sc.gov/museum for more information.

Also, remember to subscribe to our newsletter at: http://www.lex-co.sc.gov/departments/DeptIQ/museum/Pages/MuseumNewsletter.aspx. Check back next week for another exciting artifact!
