Lexington Wildcats sweeps exhibition baseball twinbill

Top-ranked Lexington closed out its preseason baseball schedule with a doubleheader sweep at Wildcats Field on Thursday.  The Wildcats beat region-foe Dutch Fork 7-2 in the opener and knocked off Rock Hill 10-3 in the nightcap. 

In the opener, Brandon Camp drove in three runs with a hit and a sacrifice fly, and Cole McMillan added two hits and a pair of RBI. 

In the second game, Zack Paquette went 3-for-4 with two RBI, Nick Ciuffo went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Cody Smith added a three-run homer. 

Lexington, which outscored its preseason opponents 51-11, opens regular season play when they host rival Irmo in a 7:00 start on Monday, March 4.
