DISCOVER LEXINGTON LECTURE SERIES: THE INDIAN HEAD, South Carolina's Ancient Meeting Place

If you like history, you will not want to miss this presentation of an exciting new discovery in Lexington County. The Indian Head, located in The Congaree Cone, is perhaps South Carolina's most ancient meeting place. Its important documented history spans hundreds of years, from 1500 to about 1900. The colonial settlement still exists today, in part, in Lower Lexington County.

Michael Jeffcoat, forensic historian and researcher-member of The Big Pond Branch Historical Research Society will present the exciting information about The Indian Head. A book about The Indian Head is scheduled to be published later this year.
