Dustin Johnson Wins The Barclays
Dutch Fork graduate now ranked 4th in the world and sits atop FedEx Cup standings

Lexington County native Dustin Johnson missed a golden opportunity to win last month's British Open. But with his win in The Barclays on Saturday, the Dutch Fork High School graduate finds himself ranked No. 4 in the world and sitting atop the FedEx Cup standings as the four-tournament race begins for the $10 million cup prize.
Johnson won the rain-shortened event in New Jersey, which was reduced to 54 holes because of Hurricane Irene. Johnson shot a 29 on the front nine of the rain-softened Plainfield Country Club for the second straight day and closed with a 6-under 65 to pull away from mistake-prone Matt Kuchar for a two-shot victory. He finished at 19-under 194.
The rain came down hard right after Johnson holed a bunker shot for eagle on the fourth hole. But it held off just long enough for Johnson to collect his first win of the year and fifth of his career, the Golf Channel reported.
