HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE

You can help more families have a holiday meal this year by donating to the 15th Annual Share Your Holiday Food Drive for Harvest Hope Food Bank.

Palmetto Citizens is proud to again serve as a sponsor of this important community event.

Last year, Palmetto Citizens collected enough food and monetary donations to provide nearly 40,000 pounds of food for families in need during the holiday season.

Here's how you can help:

Share Your Holiday: You can also make a donation at First Baptist Church of Columbia Downtown or at our Lexington Office on Wednesday, December 4th. You can just drive up to the drop-off location and a volunteer will assist you with your donation.

Along with monetary donations, the most needed items include:

  • Canned Goods
  • Dry Goods
  • Personal Items
  • Other items such as Black Pens and Markers, Paper and Plastic Bags, and Detergent
Donations to Harvest Hope are tax-deductible, and 98¢ of every dollar received goes directly to feeding hungry families in our area. Harvest Hope does not foster a culture of dependency. Typically, if they can feed a family for three months in succession, it gets them through their crisis and they are able to be self-sufficient after that. During those three months, Harvest Hope frees them from worrying about food so that they can concentrate on the other things they need to do to get themselves out of their own financial difficulty.
