Lexington 1 School Board Candidates Collect More Than $23K in Contributions

Candidates for the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees have collected a total of $23,947.58 in campaign contributions for the Nov. 6 election.

Janet Ballard Frazier and incumbent Cynthia S. Smith have the largest amounts of money. Brent Powers has the third-largest amount.

Most of the money came from the candidates themselves. Several candidates, including Janet Ballard Frazier and Brent Powers, have been the only contributors to their campaigns. Hazel Duell, Rhonda Gunter and Ted Zee were also the only donors for their campaigns.

Jean Haggard was the only candidate to take out loans — a total of $4,000.
