Lexington County Museum's Artifact of the Week: Dec. 15-Dec. 21

This week's highlighted artifact is a recently acquired book that was once owned by the Southern Lutheran Seminary when it was located in Lexington Courthouse, SC (as Lexington was then known).  The Seminary was located near the grounds of the Lexington County Museum and operated from around 1832 to 1855.  The label on the inside cover says that is was number 885 of the Classical and Theological Seminary, Lexington, SC.
See this artifact and more at the Lexington County Museum, located at 231 Fox Street in downtown Lexington. Visit www.lex-co.sc.gov/museum for more information.
Also, remember to subscribe to our newsletter at: http://www.lex-co.sc.gov/departments/DeptIQ/museum/Pages/MuseumNewsletter.aspx. Check back next week for another exciting artifact!
