Lexington Girls Take Soccer Cup

A pair of Lexington girls' soccer teams squared off for the Palmetto Academy State Cup championship.

No matter which side you were rooting for, there could be no doubt -- the girls from Lexington were definitely going to win.

In a bit of sports serendipity, two Lexington girls' soccer teams wound up facing each other in the U10 Girls division for the championship of the Palmetto Academy State Cup, held recently in Sumter.

According to soccer mom Amy Limehouse, the division was made up of 14 teams, culminating in the showdown between the two Lexington squads.

The LCSC 01 White team (pictured above in Blue) won 4-2 over LCSC 01 Blue (pictured above in white).

"We're very proud!" said Limehouse, who manages the White team.
