Lexington One Hires Communications Director

Lexington One is adding a Communications Director to its staff.

During the Nov. 20 meeting of the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees, the board approved the hire of Rebecca J. Bean as Director of Communications in the district office.

Bean currently serves as Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the University of South Carolina Sumter.

She has previous experience as Growth and Development Specialist with the City of Sumter, Public Information Coordinator with the South Carolina Forestry Commission and Public Relations Graphic Designer with the Richland County Library.

While attending college, Bean interned as a design intern at Greenfield Belser Ltd in Washington, D.C.

Bean received a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in graphic design and a business minor from Anderson University.

She is a member of the Sumter Chamber of Commerce and Alice Drive Baptist Church.
