National Signing Day 2013: Lexington, White Knoll Players Commit
Senior athletes officially committed to colleges Wednesday.
Student athletes across the country signed letters of intent Wednesday with colleges on National Signing Day, the start of the NCAA's official signing period.
At Lexington High School, three football players signed with colleges:
- Senior defensive lineman Billy Carson signed with Columbia University in New York.
- Senior linebacker Chase Austin, who is ranked the number 13 lineback in the state by SCVarsity, signed with Newberry College.
- Senior Austin Turner also signed with Newberry College.
Lexington High senior lineman Jonathan Boring was already committed to Troy University in Dothan, Ala., according to the Dothan Eagle Troy Blog.

Three White Knoll High School football players also signed with schools Wednesday:
- Senior defensive back Malcolm Ford signed with Newberry College.
- Senior Alex Brown signed with the U.S. Naval Academy in Maryland.
- Senior Delvin Riley signed with Stetson University in DeLand, Fla.
