Photos: Sixth Annual Lexington Cleanup A Success

More than 80 residents took part in the March 31 event.

More than 80 Lexington residents participated in the town's Sixth Annual Lexington Cleanup on March 31, according to town officials.

More than 800 pounds of trash was collected during the four-hour event, sponsored by Advanced Disposal and Midlands Beautiful.

Groups taking part in the event included the Lexington High School National Honor Society, Meadow Glen Elementary School PTO and School Improvement Council and the University of South Carolina's National Honor Society.

Also attending the event were town Councilman Steve MacDougall and Councilwoman Kathy Maness.
