SC Primary: The Week That Was (Nov. 27-Dec. 3)

While no major news broke in South Carolina, it was a busy week in the GOP primary race for South Carolina.

Newt Gingrich, a new frontrunner for the race, spent three days in the state, criss-crossing from Charleston to Greenville.

Michele Bachmann, whose campaign is in need of a shot in the arm, spent time in the Upstate and Midlands late in the week, signing copies of her new book.

Jon Huntsman, also at the bottom of the polls, appeared Saturday morning in Berkeley County.

And Herman Cain, who held an event Friday in Rock Hill, announced on Saturday that he was suspending his campaign.
