Sheriff: West Columbia Man Arrested for Failing to Register as Sex Offender
The man was convicted in federal court in 2007 of possessing child pornography.

Deputies arrested a West Columbia man Monday who they say failed to register as a convicted sex offender.
Thomas Patrick Sullivan, 52, of Phillip Drive was convicted in federal court in 2007 on charges of possessing child pornography, according to the Lexington County Sheriff's Department, but failed to register as a convicted sex offender with the sheriff's department.
When deputies went to his house Monday with a warrant to arrest him, he was in a shed behind his house performing a sexual act while naked and watching adult pornography, according to the sheriff's department.
Sullivan was booked at the Lexington County Detention Center around 6:44 p.m. Monday. He was released from the detention center Tuesday after posting a $1,092.50 bond.
