A Rash of Auto Break-ins

GCSO reports 10 auto break-ins in the past few days in Simpsonville area.

The Greenville Sheriff's Office reported Monday that there have been an alarmingly high number of vehicle break-ins in the past few days in the Simpsonville area.

From Aug. 9 at approximately 10 p.m. through Aug. 11 at 6 a.m., 10 vehicles total were broken into at five separate residences.  

The first reported auto break-in was reported off Hipps Avenue in Simpsonville south of I-385.  The remaining four auto break-ins were north of I-385 in the Sycamore Ridge Neighborhood and surrounding area.  

According to incident reports, all 10 vehicles were parked outside the home and were not secured.  

Anyone with information regarding these incidents or suspicious persons in these areas are urged to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
