After The Storm … A Double Rainbow
Mauldin's late afternoon thunderstorm on Tuesday left behind a beautiful and rare phenomenon — a double rainbow. Did you see it? Let us know — and upload your photos or video, too.
The line of thunderstorms that raked the Upstate on Tuesday afternoon left behind a rare phenomenon — a double rainbow over the Mauldin area.
Did you see it? If not, we have a photo or two, plus a few more of a nearly perfect single rainbow, taken with a simple digital camera in the parking lot of Immanuel Lutheran Church at 2820 Woodruff Road.
But we'd really love to see your photos of it, and get your impressions of it in the comments, if you were lucky enough to view it. If you did shoot it, please feel free to upload your photos or video to this article.
While double rainbows are fairly rare, they're not uncommon. But when they do occur, they can be awe-inspiring. In fact, you may even remember this famous viral video of a man who viewed one for the first time, and exalted in its beauty. (He later admitted he might have been a teensy bit high on psychedelic mushrooms at the time, but still…. Pretty impressive).
