Disabled Simpsonville Woman Needs Help

I am Doug Massey of Mauldin.  I am writing this and asking for help for my cousin who resides in Simpsonville.  She is in her 50's, a wonderful Christian, and is aways helping others even though she cannot help herself.  I will keep her name confidential.  In the past my cousin was employed by both the Simpsonville and Fountain Inn Police Departments and then turned to elder care and hospice.  She loved her work and helped the elderly and their families through her work.  Unfortunately, aboiut three years ago she contracted an infection that caused her to have extensive surgeries that left her disabled and unable to lift.  Since then, she has been trying to get on disability but for one reason or another, she has not been approved.  Last week, her mortgage company foreclosed on her single-wide home in Simpsonville and it appears she will have to move out by June 15.

We as family are surrounding her with concern and love and trying to help her fiid a modest (one bedroom) apartmnent or home to live in hopefully for a temporary period.  She has been living alone for many years and it seems to suit her better.  We have reached out to churches in the local area for help, to several organizations in the Golden Strip area but she must be approved for disability to gain their services.  All of her family members do nbot have  the means to either financially provide support or a home for her.  She is unable to work.  But, she does hand-make some wonderful crafts and I, personally am trying to find a way to help her advertise them in hopes that they will produce some income for her.

I f, or someone you know, may have information on a small house or apartment that she could use on a temporary basis, please let me know and I will be happy to collect the necessary information and pass it along to her.  This is an urgent request for help for someone who has given and keeps on giving to those who are less fortunate than she is.  She has an old truck/transportation and can drive, but with her disability she cannot work at the moment and develop an income.
