Local Search & Rescue Group Receives Grant from Community Foundation of Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC – (June 4) – Community Foundation of Greenville awarded the 2012 Community Enrichment Grant to South Carolina Foothills Search & Rescue, Inc. in the amount of $5,723 on May 30.

Foothills will use the grant money for a printer for their command trailer, personal floatation devices for dogs and handlers to aid in water searches, a communication radio for the team’s all-terrain vehicle and gear bags for handlers.

“The Foothills K-9 teams depend solely upon contributions and grants for financial support. K-9 teams even more ready when the call for help arises,” said President of Foothills, Cheri Milan.
