Rising GOP star and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio will make an appearance in the Upstate on July 5 at 4:30 p.m. at the independently-owned Fiction Addiction to sign his new book, An American Son. The book is also available in Spanish as Un Hijo Americano.
Rubio has achieved national prominence since being elected to the Senate in 2010 with the backing of Sen. Jim DeMint.
Born of Cuban parents and from a battleground state, Rubio is a dynamic speaker who has been frequently mentioned as a possible vice presidential candidate for likely Republican nominee Mitt Romney.
