
The Better Business Bureau of the Upstate will host Shred Day, a national program created to promote awareness about itentity theft and protection, in Greenville on Saturday October 19.
During the event, individuals and businesses are provided FREE commercial shredding services and are able to recycle computers and cell phones. Bring up to 10 boxes to shred.
Goodwill Industries will be on-site to collect computer equipment. Accepted equipment includes: Computer monitors, printers and hard drives in any condition. Computer hard drives will be wiped by Goodwill according to the standards developed by the U.S. Department of Defense.

BBB will also collect used wireless phones, batteries and accessories for HopeLine®, a domestic violence prevention and awareness program sponsored by Verizon Wireless.
