Warm Weather Brings Music & More

Free Bluegrass - 4/27 | Contra Dance - 4/28 | Train Show - 5/4

It's our favorite time of year here at the Mauldin Cultural Center! Besides the favorable change in weather, spring marks the beginning of the busiest part of the year here at the MCC. We expect over 12,000 people to come through our doors between May and August alone!

And the madness begins this weekend!

Coming up Friday, April 27 is our first outdoor concert of the year in our newly constructed outdoor amphitheater! Last Road Bluegrass takes the stage at 7:30pm during what is supposed to be a perfect SC spring evening. Bring your lawn chairs, picnic baskets, blankets, your family and your friends and enjoy over 2 hours of bluegrass from these local musicians. Don't forget that the event is FREE and open to the public! Feel free to pick up a few free tickets on our website - tickets will guarantee you a seat indoors in the unlikely event of rain - or just come on by the amphitheater! We'll see you all there!

Saturday, April 28 is the first ever Contra Dance hosted at the Mauldin Cultural Center!  The traditional folk dance that has recently made a resurgence in popularity has made its way to Mauldin. With Ethan Hummel as Caller and the band Skeeziks keeping you in motion, you're guaranteed to have a blast. Bring your friends and join in the fun!  Beginner lessons begin at 7:30pm with the full dance starting at 8pm in the MCC Auditorium. Cost? Only $6/person at the door!

Next weekend - May 4-6 - marks the opening of the Chamber of Commerce's Annual Trains, Trains & More Trains exhibit! This free event draws over 4,000 people over two weekends (May 4-6 & 11-12) of the largest push-button operated inscale model railroads in the southeast! Perfect way to spend an afternoon (or all day) with the kids and grandchildren!  The exhibit is FREE, but donations are welcome and encouraged! Call the Chamber for more information at (864) 297-1323.
