YWCA Junior Board to team up with Soby’s to raise funds for nonprofit

Leave the daily grind of the office behind and enjoy a Guest Bartending Happy Hour to benefit the YWCA of Greenville from 5-8 p.m. Jan. 31 at Soby’s New South Cuisine, 207 S. Main St. Guest bartenders include Casey Bolt, Claire Bray, Lauren Hatcher, Melissa Holder, Jessica Sharp and Kelly Velazquez - all YWCA Junior Board directors.

Twenty percent of all bar proceeds collected from the night will benefit the YWCA and its mission to eliminate racism and empower women. The Junior Board, which empowers women ages 18-35 through leadership and service, hosts the annual event to help build awareness and support for the YWCA.

"The Soby's Guest Bartending event has been a consistent success for the Junior Board. We're continuing to see the amount of money raised - as well as the awareness of the event and the YWCA as a whole - increase each year,” said Bolt, who will serve as a guest bartender for the second year in a row.

The needs at the YWCA continue to grow as it continues to give back to the Greenville community.

“We always look forward to this event because it's a great way to keep spreading the message of the YWCA through a fun and relaxed atmosphere at a wonderful downtown location. We are very grateful to Soby's for allowing us to participate in its Guest Bartending program year after year," said Bray, Junior Board president.
