Zoom Through The Zoo will start at 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 29 in the City of Greenville’s Cleveland Park. The course will wind through the park and includes roughly 0.8 miles inside the Greenville Zoo – allowing runners and walkers of all ages to run past the elephants, lions, giraffes and large cats of the zoo.
“We are excited to host Greenville’s only run through the Zoo,” said Amanda Osborne, The Friends of the Greenville Zoo’s executive director. “Zoom Through The Zoo will raise funds to support the mission of The Friends. This event promises to be a fun-filled morning for Greenville families.”
Fairway Outdoor Advertising and WMYI-FM (My 102.5) are generous sponsors for this event. My 102.5 morning show hosts, Zac and Marne, will be onsite at the 5K to support all the participating families.
Online registration is now open for both the 5K and a shorter children’s fun run. Participants can register online at www.gogreenevents.com/ZoomThroughTheZoo. Registration rates are $30 for the 5K and $15 for the children’s run. Rates increase by $5 on March 15. All participants registered before March 15 are guaranteed an event T-shirt.
