GCSO Investigating Death Near Mauldin

Authorities this morning are investigating a death following a disturbance call at a residence on Lanford Drive near Mauldin.

At 1:47 a.m., the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said it received a disturbance call at 1 Lanford Dr. in the southern part of the county in the Gantt community. 

"Deputies arrived on scene within five minutes and located a male subject deceased inside the residence," according to GCSO spokesman Deputy Jonathan Smith. "The scene was secured and investigators with the violent crimes unit were called to the incident location. At this time investigators and forensic units are processing the scene."
