Give Blood Today in Mauldin, Simpsonville
The Blood Connection bus is in both towns this afternoon and needs your donations.
If you're out and about today in either Mauldin or Simpsonville, consider taking a few moments to give some blood.
The Blood Connection, a Piedmont-based non-profit blood bank, has brought their mobile busses to town today and are looking for donors of all blood types, said phlebotomist Ashley Wright.
The organization, which serves 25 area hospitals, is looking to collect at least 18 pints in each location.Β
In Mauldin, the outfit has stationed its bus outside the Kmart at 129 West Butler Road. In Simpsonville, a bus has been stationed outside the Ross clothing store at 347 Harrison Bridge Road, Wright said.
Both busses will be open until at least 4 p.m. Anyone who has not donated blood in the past two months is encouraged to show up, no reservations needed.
