Update: Jam-Packed Summer Continues at Mauldin Cultural Center

Concerts, classes, and more to fill your summer schedule.

Original story: The has a jam packed summer this year, with concerts and classes to keep everyone in the family happy, city officials announced.

The Railroad Concert Series continues throughout the summer with performances from this Friday July 20 through Sept. 21 (full schedule below). Bring your lawn chair, blanket and picnic basket and enjoy music all summer long in the new Outdoor Amphitheater at the Cultural Center.

Don't be scared away if it rains though β€” all concerts will be held in the MCC Auditorium in the event of inclement weather. All concerts are FREE to the public, though donations are welcome. (Tickets, though free, are required for entry for indoor concerts).Β

In addition to the Railroad Concert Series, the center will also present the Legends of the Piedmont Blues Show on July 21. This event, presented by Sparkle City Blues, features five legends of the blues industry and who live right in our own backyard β€” Boo Hanks, Beverly "Guitar" Watkins, Pop Ferguson and Mac Arnold will take the stage in this 'Unplugged & Uncensored" concert held in the MCC Auditorium. Tickets are available here.Β 

Want to learn something new this summer? You can also sign up for private guitar lessons, dance lessons, as well as take a beginner pottery course. All classes are taught by local artists and are offered at competitively low pricesΒ
