Ladies: Do You Have the Right Stuff to be Crowned "Mrs. Holiday?"

Taste of Home magazine is bringing it's national search for a holiday spokesperson to Charlotte next week.

You know the person. That certain woman who always goes the extra mile when it comes to decorating, entertaining, and cooking at the holidays.

Maybe, perhaps, you are that woman?

If so, wants to hear from you.Β

The magazine is bringing its national search for "Mrs. Holiday," a new holiday spokesperson, to the Hilton Charlotte Center City, 222 East Third Street, Charlotte, N.C., on Tuesday, July 17, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The search for Mrs. Holiday seeks to identify an American woman, age 18 or older, "who truly embodies the spirit of the holidays, whether it be Valentine’s Day, Independence Day or Thanksgiving. Her family and friends already consider her the Queen of the Holidays, and her signature recipes are a must-have at every holiday gathering," a press release said. Β

"Mrs. Holiday will be an advocate, an ambassador, and an inspiration to the country. She’s got memorable recipes combined with a celebration attitude, and is ready to serve up a helping to assist every American family in making the most of the holidays."

The winner will receive $50,000 and the chance to live out her celebrity spokesperson dreams by sharing her talent, recipes, and enthusiasm with millions of Taste of Home readers as she travels the country, making live appearances, participating in interviews and cooking segments, and regularly contributing content to Taste of Home magazine.

No experience is necessary to audition. Entrants should come prepared with their signature recipe in writing and any decorations, food, photos, costumes, or other props they would like to include when taping their 2-minute video audition to be posted on Facebook.Β

The American public is voting on the entrant auditions and recipes until Sept. 7. A panel of experts will choose Mrs. Holiday from the top 100 finalists by popular vote.
