Mauldin Couple Indicted by Feds
Pair face charges of conspiring to create fake drug prescriptions.

A federal grand jury on Monday indicted a Mauldin couple on prescription drug fraud, U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles said.
Wilfredo Santa, 39, and Patience Downs Santa, 35, both of Mauldin, were indicted for conspiring to create fraudulent drug prescriptions, Nettles said.
If convicted, the maximum penalty the couple could receive is four years imprisonment.
The case was investigated by agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration and is assigned to Assistant United States Attorney William J. Watkins, Jr. of the Greenville office for prosecution.
