Mauldin's Kevin Garnett Hits Major NBA Milestone
Boston Celtic and Mauldin High great, Kevin Garnett, becomes one of the few NBA players in history to score 25,000 points.

Mauldin native Kevin Garnett has made NBA history.
The Mauldin High standout, and world-champion Boston Celtic forward, became only the 16th player in NBA history to score 25,000 points in Thursday's win against the Los Angeles Lakers, ESPN reported.
Just 6 points shy of the feat entering the game, Garnett finished with 15 points in the Celtics' 116-95 win.
He joins former USC great Alex English in the NBA's exclusive scoring club.
Garnett joins an exclusive club of players with at least 25,000 points that includes Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387), Karl Malone (36,928), Michael Jordan (32,292), Wilt Chamberlain (31,419), Kobe Bryant (30,834), Shaquille O'Neal (28,596), Moses Malone (27,409), Elvin Hayes (27,313), Hakeem Olajuwon (26,946), Oscar Robertson (26,710), Dominique Wilkins (26,668), John Havlicek (26,395), Alex English (25,613), Reggie Miller (25,279) and Jerry West (25,192), ESPN reported.
