Oh, Christmas Tree! Mauldin Officially Begins Christmas Season

Kids, parents and others flock downtown to watch as the town's Christmas tree turns on its lights.

Children of all ages flocked to Mauldin's Cultural Center on Friday night as the area officially kicked off the holiday season with the lighting of the city's Christmas tree.

Between 100-200 folks came and enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies and carols sung by various children's groups, followed by the lighting.

The holiday festivities continue today with the city's Christmas parade at 2 pm., which runs from Mauldin High School to the Cultural Center.

And on Sunday at 3 p.m., Simpsonville will hold its official parade along Main Street.

In addition, Greenville will its annual parade this evening at 6 p.m. along Main Street downown.
