Lego Robotics Teams – Langston Charter Middle School sent two teams to the Greenville Regional Lego Robotics Tournament. The Langston Lego Brick Warriors II team placed eighth out of twenty-two teams. The Langston Gear Turners team placed second out of twenty-two teams and qualified to compete in the State Lego Robotics Tournament on February 23.
The Gear Turners team members are Roann Abdeladl, Elijah Budd, Grayson Cross, Hasna Karim, Evan Motter, Niko Petersen, Jacob Stuff, and Matt Thomason. The Lego Brick Warriors II Team members are Brady Beckman, Nick Stowe, Colin Hudgins, Collin Poynter, Michael Causey, Steitler Buisch, and Nikhil Vallabhanini.
Spilling Ink Creative Writing Club – The Langston Spilling Ink Creative Writing Club meets on Fridays from 1:30pm-3:00pm. New members are welcome and there is no fee to join. Contact Michelle Dobbins with any questions dmdobbins98@yahoo.com or 865-419-4499.
Father Daughter Dance – The first annual Langston Father-Daughter Dance will be held Saturday, January 26, 6 pm - 8:30 pm in the Langston gymnasium. Contact Kori Hillson at kdhillson@gmail.com with any questions.
