School Notes: Mauldin High School

Open House - Monday, August 27th – 6:30 p.m.
Meet in the auditorium and then follow your student’s schedule to meet the teachers.

FCA Leadership Meeting – Monday, 8 a.m. in B315
The first FCA Leadership meeting is this Monday morning (8/27) at 8am in B315.
The first FCA meeting of the year is this Friday morning (8/31) in the auditorium at 8am. Please come join us!
Yearbook Pictures for Underclassmen – Monday, 8/27 & Friday, 8/31.
Reminder to all that yearbook pictures will be taken on Monday and Friday. 
Students will go with their English teachers. Pictures will be taken in the Media center.
Youth in Government Meeting – Tuesday, 8/28
There will be a meeting Tuesday morning, August 28 in the Auditorium at 7:50 a.m. for any student interested in attending the Youth in Government conference this year. The conference is a Model Legislature, Model Court program that will be in mid-November. See Coach Snoad in A103 if you have any questions.

Graphic Novel Club Meeting – Wednesday, 8/29 at 8 a.m.
All manga and anime lovers are invited to the first GNA meeting of the year on Wednesday, 8/29 at 8 a.m. in the media center conference room.

French Honor Society – Thursday, 8/30
There will be a French Honor Society meeting on Thursday, August 30, at 8:15 a.m. in Mrs. Robert's room. All students will need to have a morning pass.

Late Parent Override Notice
Parent overrides submitted after the first day of school will only be considered after class sizes are stable. Overrides at this extreme late date are not guaranteed. Students should not assume that the override will be honored and should continue to work in their present classes. As emphasized in March, late overrides at this point, have last priority in consideration of schedule changes.

Senior Meetings
Dalton Kelsey will be meeting with the seniors during their English class starting September 5th, to discuss the college application process and scholarships. All students without an English class will meet during fourth period on Wednesday, September 5th.

Senior Parent Night - Thursday, September 6th, 6:30 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium
Parents of seniors, please join us on Thursday, 9/6. This meeting will cover graduation requirements for the state of South Carolina, the college application process, and lottery scholarships.

2013 Senior Portraits
