β’ There will still be two lanes for the southbound and northbound traffic on the new southbound concrete pavement with temporary median barrier wall dividing the live traffic.
β’ The construction areas will continue to be marked with construction traffic cones and signs.

β’ Crews will post signage as necessary at the time of the switch.Β
β’ SC 417, Bridges Road and Butler Road on ramps will exit onto a northbound C/D lane which will tie back the northbound mainline traffic just north of Smith Hines.
β’ Woodruff Road and Old Stage Road will enter and exit SB I-385 as they do now.
β’ The shift will only take one evening to transition from the current alignment to the new alignment.
β’ All southbound and northbound exits will be accessible andΒ the switchΒ will occurΒ betweenΒ 8 P.M.Β andΒ 6:00 a.m.
β’ The new alignment will remain in place for several months.
Drivers traveling through the construction zone are asked to be aware of equipment and crews working in the area. The public is also asked to obey traffic control signs, reductions in speed limit and message board information, and to note that all road work is dependent on the weather.
The goal of the project, which is expected to be completed in the winter of 2012, is to improve the traffic flow in and out of Greenville, especially before and after school and work hours.
