Santa Claus Comes to Town
Arrival of Santa brings a measure of Christmas cheer to the area.
Santa made plenty of appearances in Mauldin and Simpsonville this past weekend.
First he appeared at "Breakfast with Santa," sponsored by the Greater Mauldin Chamber of Commerce at the Ray Hopkins Senior Center, then later Saturday at the annual Mauldin Christmas parade, and again on Sunday at the Simpsonville Christmas parade.
At Breakfast with Santa, children (and more than a few adults) had their photos taken with the jolly old elf, received coloring books and crayons, and were treated to cupcakes and delicious breakfast food and refreshments from the local Sonic Drive-In and Chick-fil-A. The Balloon Man was a huge hit, also, making incredible balloon creations for the children in attendance.
