• North Augusta standoff results in 1 arrest of a local man with charges (postandcourier.com) — Neighbors on Carolina Springs Road in North Augusta were evacuated and the street blocked off June 1 while Aiken County deputies and SWAT negotiated with a barricaded man. After about 90 minutes, the suspect surrendered and was arrested on charges related to pointing a weapon and disturbing the peace. 
• GreenJackets Hold off Shorebirds in a Pitcher's Duel (oursportscentral.com) — A tight 2-1 pitcher’s duel in North Augusta saw the Augusta GreenJackets edge the visiting Delmarva Shorebirds on Tuesday night, despite multiple late threats from Delmarva.
