• Deputies: Man dies after altercation with acquaintance leads to shooting in Piedmont (foxcarolina.com) — A man was shot and killed early Friday morning on Chapman Lane in Piedmont after an altercation with an acquaintance, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies say the victim was found dead at the scene around 4 a.m., and the suspected shooter was taken into custody shortly afterward as the investigation continues.
