• Protesters advocate against ICE activity in the Lowcountry (wsav.com) — Residents gathered on a busy Ridgeland street Wednesday to protest recent immigration enforcement activity they say is separating local families and targeting immigrant workers. The small demonstration drew mixed reactions from passing drivers and a visit from Ridgeland police, who told organizers they needed a permit on town property and could not display profane signs. Despite relocating, protesters say they’re determined to keep speaking out for vulnerable neighbors.
