Give A Little. Feed A Family.

Greenville, this is your call to action because the State of South Carolina desperately needs your assistance. Did you know, according to the latest studies, South Carolina now ranks 15th in the nation for food hardship for households with children? Of course with all of the big corporations and enterprises in the Upstate area, that fact might not be so obvious unless you look a little bit closer. I for one, have decided that I’d like to help where I can and I would like to invite you all along for the ride. My office has partnered with Harvest Hope Food Bank to host a food drive and collect nonperishable food items for the hungry families throughout the region.

Harvest Hope is one of the largest food banks in the area and last year alone fed about 38,000 people a WEEK! To me, that’s really impressive they have the capacity to do that. What’s even more amazing, is that for every dollar donated, 98 cents of that is directly given back to those that need it! However, with the recent government shut down, I was told that many of the other charitable organizations such as the Salvation Army have been petitioning Harvest Hope for added help and support. That burgeoning strain can only be alleviated by the charitable donations that you and I make.

So please, open your cupboards and check your pantries because admit it, that tomato soup you’ve been saving for a rainy day is never getting opened. I have set up my office as a collection center so you can drop off your donations. For more information, click the picture or call my office anytime.
