Newtown Banner Comes to Simpsonville
Project of Upstate nonprofit will be hanged in the Newtown Town Hall to honor victims of school shootings.
Think2XTWICE, a Greenville-based nonprofit, recently brought it's 10-foot banner honoring Newtown shooting victims to Simpsonville.
The organization is collecting signatures on the banner. When completely covered, the nonprofit plans to ship it to Newtown, where it will be displayed in the Town Hall, said CEO Traci Fant.
At its Simpsonville stop at City Hall, Mayor Perry Eichor and others signed the banner.
"We will be traveling throughout the Upstate of South Carolina collecting signatures, prayers and condolences from everyone in the community who wants to show the families in Newtown that we care and are praying for them," Fant said.
Think2xTwice.org is a nonprofit that focuses on raising awareness on the issues of bullying, domestic violence and violence in the community as a whole.
