Obituary: Lewis Arthur Stewart, Sr. of Simpsonville

Former Rotary Club president, Simpsonville Mill executive to be buried today.

Lewis Arthur Stewart, Sr., 92, widower of Ann Fendley Stewart, died February 8, 2013.

Mr. Stewart was born March 14, 1920 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Taylor Hillhouse Stewart and Sunie Medlin Stewart. He was a WWII veteran, a retired Vice President of Manufacturing from the Simpsonville Mill, a Mason, a past President of the Rotary Club and he was a member of Simpsonville First Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Lewis Stewart, Jr.; one brother, David Stewart of Mt. Pleasant; and five sisters, LeFlesha Cox of Laurens, Beatrice Brown of San Angelo, TX, Oveline King of Abbeville, Avanelle McCord of Belton and Betty Woolbright of Bogart, GA.

Visitation will be 1-2:30 p.m. Monday at Simpsonville First Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Simpsonville First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Randy Harling, Rev. Steve Clyborne and Mr. Louis Cooley. Entombment will follow at Graceland East Cemetery.
