Save the Date: Sippin' in Simpsonville on Sept. 29

The Oktoberfest-themed event will feature beer, brats, and more.

This fall's "Sippin' in Simpsonville" will allow patrons to put a little oompah in their lives.

The downtown Simpsonville event, scheduled for Sept. 29 from 6-11 p.m., and sponsored by The Main Street Chapter of the Simpsonville Area Chamber of Commerce, will adopt an Oktoberfest theme.

The event will feature a selection of local craft beers chosen by presenting sponsor Crafted, the beer store. After checking in for the event, participants will be directed to 14 tasting locations inside Main Street area businesses. Each location will feature a different craft beer paired with an appetizer.

After visiting the tasting locations, participants can enjoy a bratwurst and live music by Hot As A Pepper on Curtis St.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 the day of the event and available at participating businesses, or the Chamber of Commerce.

This iteration of Sippin,' the third event so far, will benefit the Simpsonville Arts Foundation. SAFI provides support to artists of all genres living and performing in Simpsonville.

The Sippin’ in Simpsonville events began one year ago with a mission to increase awareness of Main Street Simpsonville business offerings and to give back to the community.

Carole Tripp, owner of A Tripp in Time, has participated in the past two Sippin’ events and said: “The Sippin’ in Simpsonville events have been a really fun night for us. Giving participants a taste of wine is a great way to introduce them to my store.”

The previous two Sippin‘ in Simpsonville events have given back almost $4,000 between previous benefit partners — The United Hospice Foundation, and Generations Group Home.
