Two Simpsonville Industrial Buildings Acquired

Boston-based Stag Industrial closes deal on two area properties for $9.2 million.

Boston-based Stag Industrial, Inc. has bought two industrial buildings in Simpsonville for approximately $9.2 million containing a total of 411,994 square feet, according to a press release.

The buildings are primarily leased to Lanxess Corporation, with more than 4 years of remaining lease term. Lanxess develops, manufactures, and markets chemicals, synthetic rubber, and plastics to the automotive, plastics manufacturing, construction, and sports industries.

This acquisition brings Stag's total 2012 acquisition volume to approximately $145 million.

Stag is a real estate company focused on the acquisition, ownership and management of single-tenant industrial properties throughout the country Its portfolio consists of 126 properties in 29 states with approximately 21.6 million rentable square feet. 

In April, Stag also acquired a $9.1 million warehouse and distribution facility in Spartanburg.
