Here are the top stories in Chattanooga today:
- According to Hamilton County District Attorney Neal Pinkston's office, a 31-year-old man pled guilty to killing a woman in 2019. Robert Rodricus Orr pled guilty on Monday to killing 32-year-old Bernice Williams on Jan. 29, 2019, at a home on West Main Street Court. Orr fled to Jasper, Tennessee with his girlfriend where law enforcement eventually caught up with him at a motel in Hamilton County. (MyFox Chattanooga)
- On Monday, the Chattanooga Police Department and the Walker County Sheriff's Office issued advisories about a scam circulating the Chattanooga area. The scam may arrive by email or text saying the recipient is facing a fine for missing a jury assignment. The message may also mention the respective court clerks by name, making it appear official. Authorities urge you to ignore the email, saying people who miss jury duty would not be notified this way. (WTVC)
- Gov. Bill Lee and Commissioner David Salyers of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) on Monday announced the City of Chattanooga will receive a $19 million loan to improve water infrastructure. The loan is one of four approved by the Tennessee Local Development Authority in the state totaling $22.9 million. (tn.gov)

- Chattanooga Fire Department Red Shift companies made a very fast stop on a North Chattanooga house fire, preventing flames from spreading through the residence. Smoke was showing on arrival Monday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. Firefighters made an interior attack and had the fire extinguished within 10 minutes. (Facebook)
- The Chattanooga Police Department has issued another SCAM alert in Chattanooga. An email is circulating with City Court Clerk Anthony Byrd's email signature alleging a fine for missing Grand Jury. THIS IS A SCAM. Do not send any money nor attempt to make payment in any form. (Facebook)
